Larry's Grand Ole Garage originated from an idea I had after my best friend, Larry Plemons, passed away. About thirty years ago Larry's Grand Ole Garage was a garage and transmission shop. Larry had always wanted to make music and have his own celebrity tour bus. Before he passed away, he was able to do both. He owned two silver eagle buses, which he leased to and drove for country music stars such as Waylon Jennings, Barbara Mandrell, Bill Anderson, Johnny Paycheck, Higway 101, Ronnie Milsap, Clinton Gregory and many more. In addition, he was a talented musican. He performed his first show in the early 70's with myself at the KOA Campgrounds near Opryland. At Larry's passing, I was fortunate enough to purchase the property from Judy Plemons and carry out a dream. Now instead of wrenches and screwdrivers clanging away, there are banjos, guitars and fiddles making bluegrass sounds miles around. This building is dedicated to the proud memory of Larry Plemons!!! So come and join me and my friends and enjoy the best of Bluegrass Music at Larry's Grand Ole Garage!!! |
