Larry's Grand Ole Garage & Bluegrass Music Park

In Loving Memory of Larry Plemons

Larry's Grand Ole Garage originated from an idea that came to me shortly after my best friend, Larry Plemons, passed away.

Larry had always wanted to play bluegrass music and own his own celebrity tour buses. Before his life ended, he was able to do both.

First, he bought two Silver Eagle buses, which he leased and drove for country music stars such as Waylon Jennings, Barbara Mandrell, Bill Anderson, Johnny Paycheck, Highway 101, Ronnie Milsap, Clinton Gregory and many others. From 1960 to 2000, Larry also serviced his buses and many more like them at the garage he built in Madison on East Maple Street.

And, as a talented musician, he performed his first show in the early 1970s with me at the KOA campground near the Gaylord Opryland Hotel.

After Larry's passing, I was fortunate enough to purchase the property from his wife Judy, to both honor my friendship with Larry and to carry on his dream.

Now, instead of wrenches and screwdrivers, you will find banjos, guitars and fiddles making good ole bluegrass music...at Larry's Grand Ole Garage!
